In light of the UK Government announcement regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its recommendation against all non-essential social contact including mass gatherings, it is with much sadness we announce the postponement of the annual Picnic in the Park, which was due to take place on Saturday 9th May 2020.
The organising committee realises that this news will be disappointing, although we are sure not unexpected, and wish to thank those who had offered sponsorship, prizes, time and effort thus far for this popular annual event.
We are already in discussions with the Parish Council on alternative dates for later in the year and we will be announcing future plans once the situation has resolved.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support – we recognise this is a difficult and unsettling time for you, your families and our communities.
