Would you love to get more involved in the Picnic? Could you spare a few hours to set up a school sports day type event, and run it on the day? Envisage it would last 30 minutes – but this is totally dependent on the organiser. We are thinking old fashioned games – egg and spoon, 3 legged race, wheelbarrow race. Tons of fun and laughs and of the 1945 era to complement the VE Day theme.
This would suit an organisation such as Scouts or Guides, or a sporting organisation – perhaps a local running club? We are happy to support with ideas, publicity and prizes but we need someone to help organise and manage this activity.
