Having received an official flyover in 2022 to coincide with the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the organising committee were worried about how they were going to top that for 2023. But top it they have! The Battle of Britain has confirmed that the Alvechurch Picnic in the Park will once more receive an official flyover (subject to local conditions on the day). AND this year there will be not one but TWO planes coming over early afternoon – a Hurricane and a Spitfire. Credit goes to Natalie Wise who pursued this exciting appearance. Make sure you are at the Picnic to gain the full effect as they sweep over The Meadows.
