Alvechurch Picnic Crew needed!
The Alvechurch Picnic simply cannot operate without lovely people like you to help with set up, supporting during the day and helping to break down at 5pm. Could you spare an hour or two on the day please? There are many roles available – easy to bossy to hands on – something for everyone:
Traffic management from 8am through to 5pm – great way to meet new people and manage key logistics. So you need to be able to operate a simple walkie talkie, deal with the public and be firm when required.
Information Point Management – tasks ranges from answering all manner of enquiries, helping direct stallholders and visitors, selling raffling tickets, handing out child wristbands and bin bags, general supervision and shaking collection buckets. Volunteers needed from 11 til 5pm.
Dog Show – taking entries from 10.45, looking after the judges, running between commentator and the ring and handing out doggie treats.
Set up – putting up marquees, helping stall holders, putting up signs and barriers, directing stall holders and managing the car park – from 7.00 til 11.00.
Breakdown – just 30 minutes from 5pm makes a massive difference to the exhausted organisers – traffic management, helping stall holders, breaking down marquees, taking down signs and markers and directing Picnicers and their rubbish and carrying all our kit to the designated storage nearby.
