Alvechurch has a new activity to offer to all ages – an Orienteering course which has been created by Alvechurch Picnic in the Park with the very kind help of the Harlequin Orienteering Club in Birmingham. And you don’t need a compass!
The permanent course is set up in the Meadows (Wiggins Memorial park), found at the end of Meadow Lane opposite the Red Lion. Paper or waterproof maps can be found at the Lounge Café in the village centre or at the ABC boatyard shop (50p/£1 towards the Lounge). There is an easy and slightly harder course with instructions.
No experience of orienteering is required – honestly! (Very) small prizes are available at the Lounge for completed answer grids. Enjoy!
